This story comes up, Child mauled by a DOG / Pit Bull etc, I agree that the dog only reflect what the owner or some owners are like, the sensible owner corrects his /her dog and the the dogs behaviour, but you have seen the likes of the clever @rsed hoodies that think they are big men behind the Pit Bull & their hood, I'm in the opinion that all these so-called dangerous known dogs, if out in the public area should have a muzzle on, more than likely people will disagree on this, but what is the better of two evils?

Alas, as you say, it is the moron breeding dogs to be fierce and dangerous that we have a problem with. They have turned a brilliant little dog, the Staffie, into a dog with a bad reputation.
In Ireland there is a case of a dog called Lennox. He is a 'pit bull type' dog and is illegal, but he has not attacked or bitten anyone. He is to be put to sleep for who he is and what he might do - http://www.savelennox.co.uk/
There is no easy solution to the problem of idiots with dangerous dogs - maybe just euthanising the idiots would be a good starting point. :-)

i have to agree about some dogs being muzzled when out, and i am fed up to the back teeth of being assailed by dogs who are let loose in our local parks. I cannot walk through one now, as it's being used as a dog toilet. The animals may not be at fault, but if you are bitten by one, who will you blame, the owner or the dog.
