What date to the children go back to school?

I am not sure if this is the right area but as a non-parent I have to ask this question. I really need to know when the children all go back to school as will be planning a (solo) trip to a theme park and also a water park and need the kids to go back to school before I venture out.

I know that it varies from area to area but can any of you parents give me an idea of when the children go back to school. I think it is about the first Monday in September.

Yes, first week in September in England. But to be on the safe side I'd leave it until the Wednesday
