It wasn't until someone showed me that what he'd done was long over, it was me that was hurting myself now by holding onto the hatred that I found it in me to forgive and allowed myself to change. You need to forgive for you not your perpetrator.

Oh I knew that NOX and neither was I on yours. Too many people involved in my situation for it to have been allowed to happen at all or for me to forgive them for letting it happen. I can't forgive any of them but it doesn't play on me or bother me now. Except to make me very protective of those close to me. x
thanks for all the contributions...if possible keep them coming!
i guess i should tell you the best life lesson ive learnt, considering i started the thread. well, kind of cheesy, but "life is like a box of chocolates, you never know which one you're going to get". Basically you never know what life is going to throw at you.

After attending my husbands nephews funeral 3 weeks ago and meeting his 3 week old son that he will never see growing up, I've learnt that all the stupid small trivial things really really dont matter and to let the ones around me know that I love them, that is all that really matters.
Also I really feel that whatever happens, 'it is what it is'.
