My father physically abused me for years, very seriously, I still deal daily with the physical effects of that but the mental effects were truly terrible and for years I was myself a violent, unpredictable psycho. It wasn't until someone showed me that what he'd done was long over, it was me that was hurting myself now by holding onto the hatred that I found it in me to forgive and allowed myself to change. You need to forgive for you not your perpetrator.

... so get on with your life
For me Nox forgiving would not have been good. Not forgiving has done me no harm at all, you don't know me so you won't see that.
Standing at the back of the crematorium for his funeral was cathartic.

Don't tell lie even as a joke because sooner or later you will have to tell more lies to cover a single one you told earlier and this will continue and you would lose respect and trust that few people may have for you.
Oh I knew that NOX and neither was I on yours. Too many people involved in my situation for it to have been allowed to happen at all or for me to forgive them for letting it happen. I can't forgive any of them but it doesn't play on me or bother me now. Except to make me very protective of those close to me. x
You dont know before until after whats least expected most!

Never trust a fart.
After attending my husbands nephews funeral 3 weeks ago and meeting his 3 week old son that he will never see growing up, I've learnt that all the stupid small trivial things really really dont matter and to let the ones around me know that I love them, that is all that really matters.
Also I really feel that whatever happens, 'it is what it is'.
This weekend I've learnt that, 2 thin coats of paint are definitely better than 1 thick one and Dulux Once really isn't!
