The company I work for has a new on-line course available for staff called

"Righting Written English"

We are really hoping that this is someone having fun with a play on words. The alternative is just too ridiculous to imagine.

I dunno bro - I am tempted to right some written English too.
Could be "righting" as in "correcting", i.e. a proofreading or grammar course.
That was my take on it too.
I'm with Ellipsis. It's eye-catching, and likely to provoke some controversy, thus enhancing prospects of attendance out of curiosity if nothing else.

ABerrant !! please.
It's bad enough working for them without everyone knowing. Oh the shame.........
Does this mean you will soon be writing emails?

No, this course is for written English. I assume that means a pen.

Grammar is the difference between really knowing your sh1t and not knowing you're really sh1t.

Did you know my Gran-ma then, Mark.
Well I did attend a Grammar school..so should be OK then!
I think that is a very clever play on words.
yes, i read as correcting - they would be 'putting right' mistakes

righting the wrongs
It is just a play on words to attract your attention and invite discussion.

It's certainly no worse than the use of the term 3Rs in education. What do the Rs stand for?
The irony is that the very people who need to go on such a course are highly unlikely to spot the pun in the course title!
I daresay it's supposed to mean what it says as 'Writing Written English' would be a bit daft. On the other hand I've seen plenty of examples of safeness in my time in that context
