I dislike it. I'm inclined to the view that, if the person telling me wants it secret they shouldn't have told me. Nearly always there is no value in my being told; the speaker merely wants to tell somebody. On the rare occasions when it is both essential that I know and dangerous if anyone beyond me does, I do but don't like the stress.That's in private; professionally I am so enured to privilege and privacy in matters that it's easy.
