Rather than say anything about her time as PM I prefer to say something about her as a local MP... Every christmas she hosted a party for local old people and even my almost communist mother in law said she was lovely... and would not be bothered by other issues during the time she spent there. I also know people who worked at the houses of parliament who found her...
"I'm not a particularly strong critic of Thatcher, but this is a waste of money that we were told was being 'unavoidably' cut and could be put to much better usage."
What bull, Krovo.....the money pouring into London from all the TV crews, journalists, dignataries and visitors "to be there" dwarfs the investment. The term is an "offset investment" and is used by many for publicity events.

We were told to be respectful last week when she died, now we're being told to be respectful because it's her funeral. When is it actually going to be 'OK' to be honest?
That's not actually aimed at this site, it's more a general question with regards to the media.
I hope I would be half as eloquent as the Bishop of London who has given a brilliant and well judged address. I think I would echo his thoughts which were along the lines of "now is not the time for a political assessment - she was a wife, mother and grandmother".
I didn't know her personally, so I guess there is not a lot I could say.
