I wouldn't, but since it was, I wouldn't have cared to sit and listen to the rest.

I used to write works reviews at Xmas (erm late seventies)
and used to love the post-performance back handed comments, one of which was :

You know it was better than some of the tee-vee progz you get nowadays.

[it was what kept us writing]
It is bad, but it depends on what it was up against.

I heard it told on BBC and ITV earlier this morning, badly both times (esp on BBC) but there again they didn't have much to work with.

I think it would be improved (slightly) if the punchline started "But it could just be..."
If this is the best, what on earth can the rest have been like !

Not even worth a titter.
They would be great for christmas crackers.
If only Bernard Manning could come back.
Kraft will be pleased, though.

I am still laughing at his joke about immigrants in the UK being British:

"If a dog was born in a stable, he would still be a dog and not a horse."
Ah, Edinburgh Fringe Festival level then.
The Chinese Wispa joke is around 25 years old. I distinctly remember it did the rounds when Wispas first came out in the mid 80s.

However, I suspect that many of the audience at the Fringe are too young to remember it...in the same way that new generations discover great old films and great old music...the same can be said for jokes.

I personally thought that the lapdance joke was the best of the top ten.
Sqad, that quotation was in the paper yesterday - I laughed then and I've done so again this morning :-)
2009: "Hedgehogs - why can't they just share the hedge?"

2010: "I've just been on a once-in-a-lifetime holiday. I'll tell you what, never again."

2011: "I needed a password eight characters long so I picked Snow White and the Seven Dwarves."

2012: 1) "You know who really gives kids a bad name? Posh and Becks."

You like them, you don't like them, it matters not, the earth keeps turning.
I didn't get the lapdancing one.
also-rans from earlier years:

"Someone asked me recently - what would I rather give up, food or sex. Neither! I'm not falling for that one again, wife."

"As a kid I was made to walk the plank. We couldn't afford a dog."

"Last night me and my girlfriend watched three DVDs back to back. Luckily I was the one facing the telly.”

"I'm sure wherever my dad is; he's looking down on us. He's not dead, just very condescending."
