Potted plant leaves swaying with no draught near them, ribbons of "grey smoke" dropping from the ceiling (both of us non smokers), a feeling of someone/thing behind you in the bathroom - that was not nice.... and the house was freezing cold in certain spots. So yes we both deduced it was haunted (for want of a better word).
Urgh, yes! I don't remember a huge amount, as I was only a kid, but the first house we moved into in this area was most definitely 'spooked'.
Strange goings on would happen all the time, and you just kind of got this 'uneasy' feeling in there.
One night there was an almightly crashing sound, followed by the sound of smashing glass. My parents ran downstairs and I remember the noise being from a picture that had fallen down.
The picture was on the chimney breast, above the fireplace, and had "landed" on top of the TV... which was on the other side of the room! We didn't stay there for very long, but I always remember being scared and having this horrible feeling when in a certain room. *shudders*

dunnital - did you have any actual incidents?
because all you list seem like they could have rational explanations - houses can have small drafts you don't know about, there can be tiny holes all over, that caused the swaying - the smoke could be just wisps of plaster dust or something - the fact that it 'fell from the ceiling, rather than rose from some random spot would support that, the cold spots and eerie feelings are perceptions rather than definite things
not having a go, just curious

Joke it's difficult to explain when you know what you see is strange. The smoke dark grey was in strips and came down but hung there before disappearing. The house wasn't old was sound no plaster coming away. The plant moved of its own volition no draughts and it was only a small part of the plant that moved not all of it.
It was also the feelings knowing something wasn't right definitely not nice and the other half isn't given to thinking into things but they did not being home alone there.
Trouble is a person won't believe if they are sceptical so no amount of evidence given by me or others to say what we saw will convince someone to believe.

That's true, dunnitall, but people don't necessarily disbelieve your experiences, they just don't believe it's caused by ghosts. It isn't reasonable to expect sceptics to change their minds on hearing a story. If course, if you have some evidence, proof or explanation as to why you put it down to "a ghost", i would be very happy to hear it with an open mind.
We lived in a pub that was. The first few nights my dad moved in on his own. Several times through the middle of the night he heard the very distinctive sound of metal barrels being rolled around the concrete caller but every time he went to check it out everything was normal. Dad has always been very sceptic bit it really spooked him after a while. There was more but I can't be bothered to type it on my phone.
P.s. hi Babysham :)
