Does one think that these people would happily still live their lifestyle if they were to experience 21st century living?
Or are we pompous into thinking that it is them who are living an inferior life style? Personally I wouldn't wish to change with them, how about you?

Maybe that is a romantic view on my part.
Or does the photographer ask them to do it that way ?

/// bows and arrows have been around a while, but if you were hunting for your own dinner, which would you choose? ///
Interesting this regarding the assault rifles for hunting, all right bows and arrows may be a little out of date, but I would rather chose a telescopic sight rifle or a shot gun for hunting.

I'm guessing they don't live near any arms supermarket, and have to take what they can get, aog.
As for as the more Kalashnikovvy ones go, they may well be for personal protection: some of those tribes appear to live in dodgy regions. But most of the weaponry on display seems appropriate for hunting food.

My point is that the bow & arrow DID work. When Africa was "untouched" by other cultures, the countries seemed to be getting along with each other - as much as they had ever done.
Introduce guns? Chaos ensues, has continued to this day & will continue for the foreseeable future.
A gun might be more useful in the hunt, but is also more useful when one wants to kill more people than was previously possible.
I apologise to the OP for changing the theme of the thread - yes, as photographs, they're very good. I do however detest (in tune with Mamya) the posing with an automatic weapon.
