Iraq is being taken over by insane death-worshipping fanatics. This has profound implications for the politics of the region, and could well be reversible before it is too late.

I'm not sure if I would agree with it now, but I remember thinking at the time that we left Iraq too soon. We weakened the country and did not stick around long enough to ensure it was strong enough. Everyone knows we botched the job.
