...all who supported me in my quiet rant re Fineshade Wood...and who signed the petition against the building of seventy log cabins by Forest Holidays.

Despite recommendation from planning officers to approve this travesty the committee has voted against it!...☺

There was not one voice for the plans.....except of course FH and the FC....
Every local parish was against as were the localish people....

I had to smile when the figures for job creation couldn't be found....but it turns out I was wrong with my guess(8-10).....42 jobs would be created....not something they wanted to boast about I suppose......☺

The official grounds for refusal are impact on ecology and wildlife but some of the comments from councillors made me smile.....

So....I'll put away the saw...leave the bench in peace....and just hope they're not daft enough to appeal.....because then I shall have to get annoyed...☻

Good news Gness! We had an excellent talk at our ladies group a couple of years ago on birds and bird song from a warden from Fineshade. Must go there one day :)
