Apart from the aggressive racial attacks by this man, why did he send his children to a Catholic school, if he want his sons to wear beards then why not send them to a Muslim school?

The same reasons atheists do, AOG. All faith schools have to take children from outside the faith and in many cases it is the nearest school that the children go to.

As I understand it his own children weren't involved. He acted on behalf of two others. I don't think the school should have rescinded its ban on beards - it should have stood its ground.

I remember Muslim boys wearing full beards at school over 40 years ago. I see nothing wrong it, it's natural.

Although as you have corrected, this man's children were not at the school in question - a lot of Muslims like to send their children to Catholic schools because Catholic primary schools provide a strong ethos of support. love and respect for each child, and for them to each other, and Muslims appreciate that aspect because it chimes with their own family values.

My wife was Deputy Head in an inner-city Catholic school, and about 80% of the intake were Muslims - there was no trouble from the Muslims themselves -parents or children.

sp, this school has a small minority of RC pupils, with mainly Muslim, Hindu and Sikh children and is doing very well.

I am very much annoyed by headlines such as this one. Teachers are abused and attacked by parents far too frequently by people with no self discipline, no respect for authority and over inflated egos.
These attacks are often reported in the media but I am yet to see 'atheist parent' or 'Christian parent' etc in the headline. Commonly the argument is about the school rules that parents object to, insisting their child should be allowed to attend school with bright purple hair or whatever, or objecting to criticism of their child.
