Why are we concerned, much better for us, for her to commit terrorism in Syria than here in the UK?

Trying to stop people committing terrorism is one of the biggest threats to the world - as I am sure you don't need me to point out.

But if we are going to adopt a 'My citizen terrorising in your country = not my problem ...' we are going to lose rapidly the international co-operation that ensures that terror suspects are monitored and tracked.

Hang on - she hasn't been charged with any offence yet, much less tried and convicted!

But to answer your post - no, I don't think her children can be removed on the basis of potential 'contamination' as you put it - instructing people in an aspect of a faith is not illegal - until they do something illegal based on that instruction, and as children, they are not there yet, nor may they ever arrive.

We can't arrest / remove individuals on the basis of what they might do - at least not yet anyway.

Probably not, but all we know from the report is 'amid fears' and 'suspicion'.

As Andy states, she hasn't been questioned yet. We do like to jump the gun a bit.

First time I've seen terrorism referred to as a faith.

Still quite correct to stop them going until the claim is investigated. One do not wish to put kids into such a situation anyway. What they learn affects the future world for everyone.

aog i tend to agree with you, i don't understand why we are worrying about stopping people going. What's crucial is we stop them coming back. What's going on currently almost implies they are prisoners confined to the UK.
