I've just got back from a requiem mass and I'm 'king knackered. With all the standing up and sitting down, responding and chanting, bells ringing, incense wafting, etc. I'm going for a lie down :-)
not usual...normally bread of heaven and something more upbeatish as ish as it can be...I had where ere you walk at fil's do..he wasn't catholic but nice words
not terribly Catholic.but I know..I have done that too ..was the only one that knew the words to lets stay together (Al Gren ) once and did an ..almost solo...not good
What made it so emotional was everyone assumed she was going up to do a reading. They wasn't expecting her to start singing....she has such a beautiful voice as well.
Stop me if I've mentioned this before, but I played the Saxophone at a friend's funeral a while ago. It was "Autumn Leaves", one of his favourite tunes.
During this, a lady said to a friend of mine.......
"That's the sexiest Sax playing I've ever heard ...... and is he single?"
