give up that chance to have a private life with your wife, children and close family, to have a job as a Prime Minister, or a big business mogul.

You hardly see your kids, travelling abroad one day, then flying somewhere else the next, and hardly a good nights sleep, 24 x 7.

No privacy, every minute being followed by the press, even on holiday, your previous early life dissected, for what, to just be important with a good salary and pension.
Everybody seems to hate you, and you maybe die a millionaire, but for what?

because some people have ambition to do more than have a wife and children. I really don't think nyone gets into politics for the money do they? They do it because they have drive, and want to change things

I doubt money has much to do with it, you can earn much more in business or celebrity. My boss probably earns at least as much as the PM.

I can, and its great.

I may not be rich, but I have everything I want/need, including a lovely family, and they dont make pockets in coffins.

That could be the next scandal! That bit I couldn't do, they never seem to get a day off, constantly on hand and being contacted whenever home or world affairs require it.
