Black People Being Kept From Juries
This doesn't make sense to me...
Okay, whilst it might be dodgy that the court deliberately kept black people off the jury, just because the jury was all white, does it really mean that it couldn't be trusted to deliver a fair judgement?

This kinda feels insulting to white people.
What do you think?

So, we have a Southern State with an all white Jury trying a Black man for the murder of a White woman.
Now as you know I'm not one for PC rubbish but this just does not seem right to me. I'm also in favour of the death penalty but it must be proven beyond doubt.
In this particular case I'm surprise they didnt dispense with the Jury and just get the KKK to string him up.

It is completely illogical for anyone to suggest that irrespective of the lack of black jurors resulted in an unfair judgment.
The Defence did not contest his guilt either.
By all means produce a report to highlight a learning curve but it does not warrant the necessity of a re-trial.
As a white person, am I offended? Not in the slightest.

Naomi doent "a Southern State with an all white Jury trying a Black man for the murder of a White woman." strike you as perhaps not 100% Kosher.
A mans life is at stake here. If truly guilty of 1st degree murder then fine, fry him. But if there is an element of doubt then it should not happen.
I'm sorry but I really cannot belief you could find 12 white jurors down South who would not have some prejudice. This is not the UK, it is deep South USA.

youngmafbog, his guilt is not disputed so a re-trial won’t change the verdict. The process by which the jury was selected is the issue – and that’s something that can’t now be rectified. Like agchristie, I’m not offended either. He’s guilty, his defence did not contest his guilt, and the jury rightly found him guilty. What more can be said?
