Anyone who thinks London is 'more Islamic than a Muslim country ' has obviously never visited a truly Islamic country.
Try living in Saudi Arabia for 3 years as I have done then compare it with London or Birmingham.

Whoosh!!!^!!!
Eddie, London is on our doorstep.
Khandro- you must have misread that survey if you think it said "a quarter of all Muslims in Britain approved of the 9/11 atrocities". If you mean the 2006 survey in the Telegraph of 500 Muslims (and how you find 500 typical Muslims I am not sure- they probably just went to one estate/mosque), what they said was:
" The ICM opinion poll also indicates that a fifth have sympathy with the "feelings and motives" of the suicide bombers who attacked London last July 7, killing 52 people, although 99 per cent thought the bombers were wrong to carry out the atrocity.

So "one per cent felt the attacks were "right". 1% is still too high but is not the same as 25%
Sorry, I'll miss the usual responses referring to me as a Muslim apologist/handwringing/virtue signalling, etc as I'm off to work now.
Khandro - I have examined the poll carefully, and correct me if I'm wrong, but I cannot see any number for the amount of Muslims surveyed.

Saying that this represents 'British Muslims' is somewhat misleading, unless they have polled every adult Muslim in the UK, and frankly, I rather doubt that.
andy-hughes, //unless they have polled every adult Muslim in the UK//

Obviously they haven't done that, but the figures for those who support acts of terrorism are quite high worldwide - not just in this country. Denying it doesn't address the problem.

Both those statements are true.

But that doesn't address my point - the paper states that the poll represents British Muslims, and that is patently not true.

How would you know?

andy-hughes; Do you not know how polls are conducted?
I did hear (but on Radio 4 so maybe biased!) that a poll of Muslims last year was flawed because of teh way the 'sample' was drawn up (I recall that they found it easier to go to one part of a town/inner city ghetto than do a proper representative sample which included a wider range of Muslims including professionals.
Nevertheless I don't doubt there is support for terrorism among Muslims, but I am not sure the level of support has much bearing on the thread title's topic. Some parts of London are very Islamified and are becoming more so,but London as a whole is not and there is no reason to think it s becoming 'more Islamic than many Muslim countries put together'
Naomi - //andy-hughes, //the paper states that the poll represents British Muslims, and that is patently not true. //

How would you know? //

Because you have agreed with me that they have not polled all British Muslims, therefore, to say that the poll represents British Muslims is not actually true.

It may represent a statistical sample - but that is not the same thing at all.

if you ask a thousand people who have ginger hair if they hate having ginger hair, and they all say yes, that doesn't mean that you can say that all people with ginger hair hate having ginger hair.
andy-hughes, //It may represent a statistical sample… that doesn't mean that you can say that all people with ginger hair hate having ginger hair.//

It is a statistical sample, and your ginger hair analogy is askew. The polls don’t suggest that all Muslims support terrorism.

/// Seems strange that you are happy for churches to stay emmie and rosary beads and other shows of religion but not if that religion is Muslim! ///

No what is strange is the fact that those who are not indigenous English, want to turn a Christian country into an Islamic country, given that religion's track record.

Why do they choose to come to this country if they are not happy to live as we do?

Man made law:

Which is better for Mankind.

Notice those ladies don't seem to have a problem over the usage of those three letters 'MAN'.

But then in their world, would they dare to?
I don't see anyone trying to turn this into an Islamic country AOG
