Only the seriously deranged still believe that there was any tampering by Russia with the election results, - all these months and not a scrap of evidence. The Supreme Court has now overturned the ban on his preventing his free entry of Muslims from certain countries and he has shown his authority by not having a White House dinner to celebrate the end of Ramadan, - and why should he?

Is the tide turning?

Not enough evidence to answer that. He's still a bit of a joke internationally.

His inability to focus his attention makes it hard for him to learn and master facts. He is ill informed about his own policies and tramples his own talking points. It makes it hard to control his mouth. On an impulse, he will promise a tax reform when his staff has done little of the actual work.
Second, most people of drinking age have achieved some accurate sense of themselves, some internal criteria to measure their own merits and demerits. But Trump seems to need perpetual outside approval to stabilize his sense of self, so he is perpetually desperate for approval, telling heroic fabulist tales about himself.
He is thus the all-time record-holder of the Dunning-Kruger effect.

This is likely to be his undoing.
US supreme court judgement here - proper hearing and judgement in OCtober - wow that's quick !

https://www.supremecourt.gov/opinions/16pdf/16-1436_l6hc.pdf

worth a read rather the more predictable threads current at the moment. The commentators havent said what effect the newly appointed judge ( Judge Numbskull) has had on the court ....

[ yeah yeah I know I will attract posts like - "supreme court who dey den?" and "supreme court judgement ? is it in forrin ? I dont do forrin"]
dunning-kruger refers to low ability people, are you seriously insulting the US people by saying that they have elected a low ability president. If you are then your own diagnosis applies to yourself SP. To become a multi Billionaire and rise to the highest office is anything but low ability. Try and look beyond your sour grapes.
If the elected president is an erratic, self obsessed showman with a very tenuous grip on reality - and without an iota of wisdom to offer - then it is not an insult to anybody to point out the facts......except of course for those who wish the facts didn't exist. Now, Trump may be everything the world needs at this point in time, a tightly focussed, balanced realist who is exceptionally wise in everything he says and does, but so far he has been spectacularly effective in camouflaging any qualities in that regard.
TTT

I'm not insulting the people of America when I refer to their President as having poor cognitive skills.

Same as you aren't insulting Labour voters with your views on Abbott, Corbyn, Blair etc.

Roger Stone is a master manipulator.

If you have Netflix, give this a watch:

https://www.netflix.com/title/80114666?s=i

It's jaw-dropping.
Perfectly summarised KARL.
By the way TTT - it's not sour grapes on my part. Sour grapes is used "to refer to an attitude in which someone adopts a negative attitude to something because they cannot have it themselves."

I absolutely do not want to be President of the USA. It's an incredibly difficult job for which I have neither the skillset, political savvy or temperament.

Arguably, Trump is in the same boat as me.
yes I agree with the proposition that the american people have elected a low competent president

every ordered set has a highest and lowest (Zermelo Frankel property) and there is no reason why Trump shouldnt go in the set of elected presidents lower than Andrew JOhnson - generally thought to be the worst

or in free-T speech - "what's wrong wiv calling Trump an absolute dockheed ? yeah ?"

Opinions, opinions, insults and more opinions, I have put up in the OP 3 (first that came into my head) facts. Stick to the facts boys!
SG may be used outside the original sense but you know what it means in it's more recent usage. Your candidate lost, simples!

'Trump is not responsible for every good thing that happens in the US economy, just as he’s not responsible for every bad thing that happens. That being said, it’s hard to miss the fact that the American economy seems to be taking off. Consumer confidence is at the highest level in 17 years. Over half a million jobs have been created in his first 3 months in office. Furthermore, the stock market rally since Trump has been elected has been the 2nd biggest since John F. Kennedy was in office. The fact that everyone realizes Trump has forgotten more about business than Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton combined ever knew is helping to get the US economy going back in the right direction.'

This is just 1 of 10 (and OK he should stop tweeting).
"The fact that everyone realizes Trump has forgotten more about business than Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton combined ever knew is helping to get the US economy going back in the right direction."

Ha ha...

Trump’s companies have filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy six times.

I haven't answered your original question - I really do hope that Trump is now settling into his role and can bring about stability and financial growth in the U.S. A strong American economy is (selfishly) good for us, and strong leadership is good for NATO.

I am keeping my fingers crossed that his learning curve will be steep and short.
Forget tide, I think it is going to take a tsunami for sp to change his tune.
You have real issues SP; three posts a time?

Khandro, only people like SP still have issues with The Donald, just like they have issues with any call that does not go their way, and we can see this from the above posts.

Mr Trump is delivering what he promised and is doing this the the face of real adversary. The man has stamina and is dogged in his attempt to drain the swamp. Makes a refreshing change doesn't it?
Trump inherited a huge fortune from his father and then lost between 2/3 and 1/2 of it by bad business skills and unwise investment. He even managed to run a casino so badly that it went bankrupt.
If he had just put his inheritance in a bank savings account he would be worth at least twice what he is now!

Err...and TTT surely?

And Khandro, perhaps?
