A gang of us went to London on a coach because there were bands playing that we wanted to see(The Damned and the newly formed Style Council)and our mate organised it(Mummy and Daddy were a ‘right on’ pair of hippies and Chris our mate went on to become a Social Worker).
My mate Steve(The Damned fan) was gutted because by the time our section of the march arrived at the venue they’d already been inside he missed them.
We didn’t tell our parents where we were going for the day, we were proper rebels!
Quite a feat considering we were traveling from North Wales.

It has worked to a degree (fireworks control) Legal controls are still (IMO) inadequate but yes I think people are becoming slowly more sensitive about their use. The campaign is asking for more control over when private fireworks can be sold or used.....so only used on New Year, Bonfire night itself, and Diwali and only sold for very short periods before the allowed dates. Public displays would be unaffected. But I digress....
my dogs hate them too ummm. They get prescription meds to manage it....which is fine on set dates when you know it will happen but pretty useless when they happen out of the blue, hence the campaign....also round here we have had a spate of teenagers throwing fireworks at horses, both ridden and the ponies who run free in the Forest.
