Storage/transfer Of Photos From Iphone 7 Plus To Icloud

At the risk of sounding stupid...………….

I'm currently on holiday abroad and am taking lots of photos and vids of my trip using my iPhone 7 Plus.

I like to upload my stuff to Facebook and, at the moment, have been doing so from my phone. However, I was wondering, would I also be able to upload to Facebook from the iCloud using my laptop?

I'm sure I've "registered"(?) my phone for the iCloud back-up, but I don't know how to check.

Surely a search on Google for "photos on iCloud" would find a site to help you.
