I am puzzled why some ABers make such strenuous efforts to assert their superiority in areas such as knowledge, morals, and jus about everything else they see a crack in the wall.
It often turns into uncomfortable posts, and becomes personal.
That's sad in my opinion.
So, my question is, "Should ABers be aware of their proclivity to be superior and make efforts to avoid it?"

My answer to the OP, Yes. I find a lot of answers come across as pompous

// I am what I am I speak as I find' attitude//

Thanks for the added extra.

People need to be accepted for who they are, no mouthing off involved.

Excessive mouthing off shows a level of insecurity.
Well said rowan.
I am Mrs sweet reason today
Then I shall accept you as Mrs. Sweet reason today.

Any clues as to who you maybe tomorrow?
Their perceived air of superiority – or your inferiority complex? I don’t argue that of which I’m ignorant simply because I acknowledge that I'm unqualified. If I don’t know I’m happy to say I don’t know.
Point being, accept people for who they are, no matter what issues they may be dealing with.
//or your inferiority complex?//

I'm sure you've made someones day ;-/

There you go. Must be me being inferior.
Is there a tablet for that?
There you go. Instead of considering that possibility you're immediately defensive. :o)
I know about some things, I know a lot about a few things I try to learn to fill the gaps in my knowledge. I know people who are far more talented, have higher skills more qualifications but superiority inferiority doesn't enter in. I also have friends with different aspirations, like being good parents, or keeping a nice home. All of value. We all bring a different dish to the table.
Sometimes i think the issues are how we come across especially when expression does not temper the words on the screen

It's my inferiority complex don't you know?
Is it?

You must know. You suggested it.
there are a few very clever people here...scientists and the likes..then crossword genii like Danny and Scorpy to name 2..then Chris who just know everything one needs to know....a lot with very strong opinions and fixed attitudes....some very nice quieter souls....some who like a good old argy bargy... people like builder for great DIY rescue advice...Sqad in his surgery.... a good mix....and a great place to come for answers or advice..or just a wee chat....a good mix ..if one gets a bit humphed by some..switch off...or simply don't go to that place...
Most aren’t clever enough to spot a wind-up tho. Unfortunately.
And some like to use them as an excuse to snipe and be unpleasant.

Shoota will have one I expect.

I mean the folk who post one nasty comment and disappear, always within Site Rules but enough for it to be obvious they are having a go
Theland, I suggested that might be the reason you perceive others to possess a sense of superiority – but I don’t ‘know’. People who offer an informed response to your questions don’t do it because they perceive themselves to be superior – they simply answer your questions. That you take umbrage to that is your problem – not theirs.
