Using the alt key in conjunction with the number pad on the right, not along the top, will generate the characters in the list I provided. alt 130 = é, alt 136 - ê, alt 138 - è, etc.
My French used to be quite good. I had to have it in order to get my job. I remember going out in Paris on New Year's Eve. The more *** I got, the better my French was. Probably because I didn't worry about English people telling me that my French wasn't perfect. I only use it when I have to nowadays. Nice language thought
Seriously if you’re on a laptop etc it’s much easier to use the insert character function of a word processor and paste the result than faff about with shift keys and codes.
