Not at all, Canary and you misunderstand me (which is probably my fault for clumsy explanation). What I am saying is that criminals should not be given the choice how - or if - they will serve their sentence. I mentioned the victims' (or in the case of murder, their families') suffering simply to illustrate that they have no choice how they served their "sentence" and I don't see why such a choice should be available to the perpetrator.
