I’ve just been sent a txt about our anniversary tomorrow with a couple of suggestions - we can go for drinks by the river in London, or we can go to the races at Lingfield. What would you pick??

Drinks by the river, as long as he throws a bag of chips in as well.
Drinks by the river ( not a 'going to the races type) enjoy it what ever you choose though
^ that constitutes drinks and a meal

Obviously the weather report would help lol, I haven’t checked that!
the Lingfield trip could be disappointing, there isn't a meeting tomorrow

No sorry, our anniversary is tomorrow but due to work we are going to go out on Saturday.
Drinks by the river.
Definitely drinks by the river, for me. Husband is a racing fan, but I find it quite tedious.

Mind yoh, last time we went to the races there was a horse called Mon Mere in one race and I took it to mean My Mum. I put £5 on it to win and everyone laughed at me. I won £800 lol
Decent forecast for Saturday in London, so good long stroll along the river, maybe as far as this lovely pub (owned by Ian McKellen)

That looks lovely brainiac!
Yes I think a stroll along the river, coupled with several stops at various watering holes is the name of the game.....
Drinks by the racetrack - obvs
Mind you don't fall in the drink, after the drink.
If the races visit is in a 'posh' stand with a meal - do that. Otherwise.....
Drinks by the river. Get a betting app on your phone and watch the racing without all the Hen & Stag parties / queues to toilets . queues to bar.

Lingfield isn't 'that' popular, ZM.
Drinks (and a meal) by the river sounds ideal to me.
