A particularly cold winter doesn't undermine the idea of Climate Change, does it? If anything it's almost a further demonstration of it -- these days it's understood that average temperature rises can drive greater weather extremes.

The reason for the predited cold Winter in the central parts of the UK is an abnormal variation in the North Atlantic Oscillation (NAO).

That really is about climate change. The NAO is one of the strongest determinants of Winter weather in the UK.

If the NAO becomes unstable, or moves, (as this research suggests), that adds to the eidence that the climate is changing (as opposed to some unusual weather).

Haha no Jim it endorses it . It has always happened......happened for squillions of seasons......we used to call it weather. The control freaks though found it difficult to tax the weather, or to make a sustainable(what a word) future comfortable life "earning" a living from the vagaries of the weather so cleverly parcelled it up into a few buzz phrases and presented it with glittery shrouds to garner the support of the gullible. Get your skates on. You will need them (ice skates) .

Got bored with the short one half way through. All opinion not evidence. And no counter argument nor probing. Personal experience tells you it's real. Weather news stories tell you it's real.
