The police should be open to scrutiny - without a doubt - but the guidelines, according to Harry Miller, are to ‘Check people’s belief systems’, not simply their 'thinking'. In the current climate of high security levels there is a difference between checking people’s ‘thinking’ and checking their belief systems. The latter is probably an eminently sensible thing to do. I am all for free speech but I think the lines are being blurred here - and deliberately.

Unsure what it has to do with Chritianity, save that apparently a Christian group posted the video.
It initially has to do, as far as the video claims, with making valid points, this is followed by someone pretending that expressing those points had something to do with hate, and an idiotic police force recording it on a crime sheet; or even investigating at all given the hate claim appears to be a fantasy simply claimed by someone seemingly uncomfortable with others pointing out that their world view is a false one, and wishing to silence that which they find awkward. The police should have slung the unsubstantiated claim out due to no evidence of anything to investigate.
Based on the video, good luck to him changing the force's behaviour to something more sensible, and giving up their adopted 'thought police' behaviour. If the force starts acting sensibly in the interest of the public, maybe there'd be fewer attempts at false accusations.

// The College of Policing. The worst politically inspired quangos to involve themselves with a so called impartial organisation.//
the doctors have zillions of them - RC Physicians, A+E, baby doctors, head shrinkers, GPs
( Royal Colleges that is!)
after a torrid time with Milburn ( bless!) who tried to close them down, but only stopped hospital visiting 20002
and hospital standards have plummeted as a result ....
they are now flavour of the week
and so they thought - the police need reforming - - why dont we do a Royal College of Policing ?
so they did - you start off as a College ( er straight - yes yes I know Cressida Dick, er doesnt - like...um - never mind) and progress to Royal....
far too early to say if it works or not
not a regulator ( the quite awful IPCC does that)
works quite well to standardize ( level ) standards of service

guidelines are just that guidelines
there is case law that says they do NOT have the force of law
a judge has also said - I dont care if you have done it 1000 times - if a practice is negligent then I will find it negligent
( that was in answer to (a doctor) saying they had always done it like that)
