There are many examples of mobs being easily persuaded to protest about anything at the drop of a hat.
Not many seem to investigate the finer details of what that are protesting about.
Their numbers are always alarming, and their antics socially disruptive.
Climate Change, Extinction Rebellion, Leave or Remain, Institutional Racism, Trans Rights, and numerous others making demands on the majority to fix the alleged problems of the minority.
No question as such, but an invitation to identify a mob and comment on it.

Persuaded ^^^
Wonder if this is going where I think its going?
It's popular probably because no one trusts their "democratic" representative to support their opinion in parliament. May as well protest instead.
Towards religion ?

Democracy, freedom of speech, peaceful protest all well and good.
But before I ever lent my support to a protest movement I would want to know the facts and not the hysteria.
For example, Trump is hated, yet kept every single election promise.
Still hated by those who are sheep.
//Towards religion ?//
Howd ya guess O-G?
Sheeple are like pimples, they're all over the place.

Not at all unless appropriate to the very friendly discussion.
//Trump is hated, yet kept every single election promise//
Except having Hilary imprisoned or building that wall or....
(BTW I dont hate trump)

//Still hated by those who are sheep//
Just who are sheep is subjective.
Protesting against something one feels is unfair or just wrong is a democratic right...in my younger days I went on a couple of protest marches....I do not think we could have been called a mob...except by those who saw a large number of people together and were too lazy to find out what the protests were about and just dismissed the protesters as a 'mob' .... ignorant to say the least. One is not easily persuaded...one makes a decision about something that they thing is very important for future generations or aspecific group of the current population. I find the dismissal of protesters as a mob to be of the height of ignorance. Perhaps those who are critical should actually investigate fully what people are protesting about otherwise they may well show their own ignorance
What Mally said^^
People dont go out at the drop of a hat to protest.
I wouldnt anyway.
In the light of you having a gay son Theland, what do you think of gay rights activists //making demands on the majority to fix the alleged problems of the minority//

No animosity here, just genuinely interested how you see that.
(I support gay rights)

My son just gets on with his life, working, paying taxes, being a good citizen.
He and his partner have not suffered discrimination, most of which I believe is manufactured, like institutional racism.

He's lucky he didnt live a hundred years ago then when he would have been punished for been gay (or in the middle east during biblical times when he would have been stoned to death) were it not for folk making demands of the majority to fix the alleged problems of the minority.

For the love of god.
Institutional racism is manufactured? Are you serious? Good grief .. I find that attitude beyond ignorant.....
