Free Speech Deemed Contentious.
209 Answers
Our tradition of free speech is threatened by a growing trend find within it reasons to be offended where no offence was ever intended.
Such offence is manufactured, and validated by a subjective redefinition of meaning.
Surely this trend has its roots in post modernism and relativism, where any word or phrase can be deemed to be offensive when no offence was ever intended.
Will this idea ever be challenged successfully to reinstate the value and protection of free speech as it has always be understood?

I’ve no idea what he’s rambling on about either. I’m sure it’s quite intelligent so it’s a shame (and a puzzlement) as to why he fails to communicate what he’s saying. I wonder if it said as much on his school reports?
There is nothing 'weird', nor vague or difficult to understand Zacs-M.
The Holocaust AND questions about it are taboo as is 5G as demonstrated by Ofcom

Social media can be far greater nonsense than MSM, can't you see the nonsense that is posted in this ONE social media site?

Causally dismissing REAL infringement of liberty as “not relevant” is all a bit like complaining that the fact you can’t get the piece of cake with the cherry, on while not caring that there are others who never even get to see the cake tin.
How anyone can seriously claim that restricting the internet is not interference with free speech is beyond me.
But that’s that happens when you have an “agenda”

"Can I take it that you believe that 5G masts are the cause of Coronavirus then, 70p? "
No.
"I’m not sure what you’re saying about the Holocaust, could you clarify that too?"
Debate about it is 'dangerous' in certain countries; but, as your current 'ally' does, please Zacs don't avoid questions and deflect and divert, you seem otherwise than many on here, relatively balanced in your views.

What annoys me about the thought police operating AB; is the number of times they have deleted my posts pointing out (via some news story or other event) that the police are corrupt/dishonest/useless.
Whilst it might annoy the police to have persons point out their shortcomings, and they may even be offended by such free speech – but that is not a reason to delete it.

Then why wouldn’t you want a radio show censored which talks about 5G being the cause of CV?
Debate about the Holocaust being dangerous in certain countries rather proves my point. It’s not in the vast majority of countries, including here.
Thanks for the compliment but for it to mean something you’ll have to prove to me that it comes from a meaningful source and not just a biased agenda led standpoint.

"I’m assuming he means Ichkeria as he’s treading the same path (roughly) as me on this thread."
Wrong assumption.
Again you avoid my 'mangled' point: free speech is relative. The 'dox' is with you Zacs.

"I’m afraid you’ve lost me, 70p. The very fact that you're debating on a public platform shows that freedom of speech is a privelidge we all enjoy. "
You lost yourself Zacs: what I can debate on here is limited, so yeah. limited freedom of speech IS better than none.
"Why would you argue that censoring people spreading untruths about 5G masts is a bad thing?"
I NEVER argued that. Tch tch.
