What Lock Down? What Social Distancing?

Not having been outside for several weeks I crossed the road yesterday to put my bin bag in the community bins. (Kemp Town Brighton). There were folk roller blading and cycling and electric scootering. Half a dozen joggers jogged past and young men looked at the joggers in their tight lycra. Family groups huddled together laughed and joked. Students breezed past without moving out of peoples way. Couples walked arm in arm on the beach. Totally idyllic. I thought it was all over then realised they were bonkers and scurried back . I was only outside about 5 mins. Are people round your way more responsible than those near me?

yes, very few people out in my part of the world. Then again, we don't have a beach. Also, I suspect, not many young people.
Not seen many out and about save queues for shops/supermarkets. But there again I've been inside most of the time. Maybe those you saw were getting exercise locally.
Their Gay Parade is going ahead, I believe. Pride comes before a fall.
I will be going for walk later at my local park, will be keeping my distance from others, but I need to stretch my legs.
We are always self isolated. It doesn't feel any different except for hardly seeing any traffic. The road this weekend will indicate what idiots are about as they flock to the coast
Check Amazon out to see if they've any racks.
If that is true Spicey, there is something very wrong.

I think possibly not. All for the foreseeable future (and God knows why they need to parade all over the country) seem to have been either postponed or cancelled:

A jobsworth in her 60s I’d say, thought it was funny to crash through me and my OH when we took the dog out !!
Lots of beaches where I live. Nearly deserted. The occasional dog walker in the distance. Towns empty.
I read just a week or two ago it was going ahead. I suppose the new laws take these decisions out of the hands of organisers. (for all gatherings)
dance2trance, re Kemp Town - report them, please report them. B&H already has 86 confirmed cases and with idiots like those we stand no chance of figures diminishing.
"We are British these rules do not apply to us", seen it all before , they will never learn.
A 25 minute drive to Sainsbury’s this morning.
Hardly any traffic, and not many people around in pedestrian areas. Those that were out, all seemed to be keeping their distance from each other.
Could be different later in the day, though.
People in our road are extremely good about staying indoors. For example, last Thursday I was the only one in the road who came out to clap for the NHS.
There are a few out more near the park. Streets seem relatively deserted.
Lots of young kids and babies, if I were a parent I would take more care as these don't seem to.
Young woman who lives next door, plus young woman who lives next door but one, both lying on rug (close together, not 2m apart), in next door's back garden, sunbathing. Rules don't seem to apply to back gardens.

People in my road are not. On the first Thursday of the "Happy Clapping" they all did their bit - then promptly gathered for a chinwag around one of their front gates (probably eight to ten of them, including four or five children).
dance2trance, the figure for B&H has gone up from 86 yesterday to 153 today. Not surprised after reading your OP. Please tell me you will report them. Are there no police patrolling your area?
