Some people here seem to be in a permanent state of confusion over what I think are quite simple guidelines for the gradual easing of lockdown and for getting people back to work….so here’s their opportunity to shine. If you were in charge, how would you do it?
Expanding on the OP slightly, I would be more adventurous. Since the A levels season is upon us (whether the exams are sat or not). Year 13 will not be in school/college now anyway. I would, therefore, certainly allow 6th form colleges to open, since they will only have the Year 12 students in college and "double" the space available to safe distance. Likewise...
Has it crossed anyone's mind that Diddly might be right and you may all be wrong. Don't think any of us are experts on the virus. (including the experts)
Has it occurred to the people moaning about the shelf stackers that if they didn’t stack the shelves constantly, then the shelves would be empty leading to idiots panicking and buying lots of crap that they don’t need leaving nothing for everyone else. The people coming to shop should respect the workers’ right to not being huffed and puffed at and breathed all over by a myriad of customers. You only have to go there when it’s essential, they’re there all the bloody time so the shop is open so you can moan about having to follow a few (simple, if you’re not a self important twonk) rules.
I wasn't moaning about shelf-stackers, I was moaning about Tesco workers taking things off the shelves, and blocking the aisles with their huge trolleys.
Don’t moan, they’re probably fulfilling home shopping orders (for vulnerable people) so there are less people in the bloody shop walking around willy nilly because they’re too important to follow some arrows, if you’ve got time to be farting about in a supermarket you’ve got the time to wait 10 seconds while they get on with their jobs.
I just can't believe people are moaning about supermarkets, on how there operating its just down right stupid. I just watched a program of kids from ages of 5 to 14/15/16 the list of ages is endless, begging on the streets for food, even more so because there's very few cars, or other people on the streets to beg off because of the lockdown. Are you real???
My point about the way Tesco is operating was that it is making their supermarket less safe: too many allowed in the store; too many aisles blocked by their workers.
Mandatory face mask in public. One yard distance as in China. Gloves recommend. I shop at Waitrose, arrows on floor and one way system. It does not quite work but gives the sheeple a feeling of security and control.
We are eventually all going to be exposed to this virus.
Them’s the apples.
