When I was at school a classmate brought in a copy of the Socialist Worker. He was ‘marked’ for the rest of his time there. The nature of the task set by the school in question suggests political motivation - albeit in a different direction.

oh my parents got bored with paying my school fees ( they went on holiday instead - middle east, very good actually - then china)
and I went to the local school
erm werent there child care issues whilst they were away 1965

and I got teased as the posh boy - you put up wivvit

My five-year-old had to do a similar thing as part of his nursery homework (very strict, expensive nursery), where he had to build a street scene out of bits of recycled stuff showing how disadvantaged peoples are harassed by some other sections of society.
