Was Jesus A 'Do-Gooder'?

'Do-Gooder' seems to be a common term of abuse here. What do you think of Jesus's attitude?

Naomi has pointed out (on another post)that Jesus wasnt all he is cracked up to be.
As a young, evangelical christian, I was surprised to read the gospels and to see Jesus in a different light than the jesus that I was been taught about.
Many years later, I reread the gospels and see the jesus of the gospels as a complete loony.

Sometimes but not always. Do-gooders are often no more than interfering busybodies more concerned with enhancing their own reputation for altruism than for anything else.

No, Jesus wasn't a do-gooder.

Naomi, you seem to be defining 'do-gooder' in such a way that we are losing what could be a useful term to describe someone who...well...does good.

Atheist, you're getting mixed up. Theland did that. See 20:59 Sun. The 'do-gooders' I mentioned, although interfering busybodies have been known to be successful in their efforts.

I've always understood Do-Gooder to be a derogatory term. The word Angel is a word I hear used a lot to describe someone who helps others.
