Locusts, I'm afraid it's all the same old stuff. Bad things shall happen. Beware of false christs. and so on ad infinitum. It can't be taken seriously by an intelligent rational person. If you read the KJV I doubt if you could even understand the words.
I feel deeply sorry for you, but console myself by thinking 'well, at least he's happy to believe'.
What worries me is that you might not be happy, and that your belief might cause harm to others, either by your religious fervour and need to influence others, or by unwitting harm arising from inscientific attitudes.
Education is the answer; if children were taught how to seek and to learn from all sources, they might make reasonable decisions.
