They're young, full of buzzy hormones, less likely to be affected if they do catch covid but their education and working lives have been impacted for a year and social lives (if they follow the rules) are non-existent.

Only to small extent. there much less likely to die but younger people (thats under 50s to me!) are still taking up a big share of covid ICU beds, and off course they can pass it on to more vunerable people or even to friends who can then infect there parents

there was another Orthodox Jewish wedding reported on BBC news last evening. supposed to have been over a hundred participants, also according to the same piece the Jewish community have been the hardest hit with covid in London. it gave a figure for infections, but can't recall what it was.

Judging by the music playing in The Covid Bar these didnt seem to be student age bar, sounded more like radio2 music for over 40s to me, so am not sure in this case we can say there missing out on education so should feel sorry for them

Yes, seen some of the scenes from Jewish weddings. Apparently those attending were assured it by organisers was within the rules because there would be prayers so it counted as worship rather than a party! Not only is the infection rate very high in some of these communities the schools are fully open as there not allowed to use internet so cant be home schooled and the vaccinne take up rate is under 30%- friends in 50s have allready been vaxxed in London as take up rate as been so low in there area. Hope they can persuade people to change but its hard in these closed communaties

No, but theres a group of very orthodox ones- will need to look up the name- that dont use phones, internet, social media. Am onlygoing off what a friend said who used to teach a t a jewish school plus what was said on BBC about why certain types of jewish schools were fully open

I get more annoyed by the percentage of BAME care workers and over 70’s not getting vaccinated, as they are at greater risk if they get Covid. I feel this is more likely to keep the hospitalisations/deaths up, than a few daft young people.
