Chine isn’t really Communist anyway. Pure communism was abolished a long time ago
While I’d never advocate it, it ought to be born in mind that in many cases the repression is down to other factors also: corruption and power and often National mentality. Ukraine shook off communism and is still corrupt but largely free.
Russia shook off communism but is still monumentally corrupt and the next best thing to totalitarian

No I haven't lived under a communist regime & I don't know what life is like for the ordinary people of Russia, China or Cuba BUT I'm not going to rush in and say you MUST change & do things the way we do them because we have seen too often that that approach leads to anarchy, mayhem, bloodshed & a tidal wave of refugees!
