I know Shifty goes a little further than Shady meaning it’s not just that you can’t figure them out but suspect they’re dishonest and up to no good, but rather they are constantly shifting their ground and so it is more obvious and virtually certain that they are dishonest, untrustworthy or crafty and up to no good, so what would be a few examples of behaviors: verbal or actions that would show that the person is blatantly shifty?

An Ebay seller with less than 95% positive feedback and/or one that has "UK SELLER" emblazoned on their product.
..and someone who posts the same question in two places in Answerbank.
Question Author
Why would “UK Seller” emblazoned on their product be shifty?
*Also* Someone who asks questions in a Q&A site but never responds to the answers, I'd call that pretty shifty ...and shady.
"Why would “UK Seller” emblazoned on their product be shifty?"
Because nine times out of ten, it indicates that they're in China or elsewhere.
..testing the market are we? ;-)
Question Author
Interesting I never realized that I wonder how it shows they are in China or elsewhere. Can you enlighten me on that?
Easily, wait a mo.
Here's a search result having selected "item location" as "UK Only"
https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/124792397277?hash=item1d0e34dddd%3Ag%3ARuUAAOSwtVRg3Ba2&LH_BIN=1
Now click on the seller and see where they're based.
Now b-ugge-r off and do your research elsewhere.
Question Author
Wow I see what you mean now Googlewerenohelp thank you so much!
..no prob.
Question Author
And how exactly did I seem shifty and shady by asking these questions without replying to answers? I just love analyzing these words shifty and shady and different examples of them since I love Eminem’s alter ego Slim Shady and to honor it sometimes I playfully pretend to have an alter ego called Slender Shifty so I find it fun analyzing examples of the terms and don’t mean any harm by it and didn’t know you’re supposed to respond to answers.
You're just digging yourself in deeper, but do carry on, I'm bored and will probably be ready to sleep in the next 30 minutes or so but honoured that we have at least established a dialogue.
Question Author
Yeah I am happy that we established a dialogue too. So I was thinking more like someone you see in person can you imagine an example of behaviors that would give off that sign that they are shifty as in shifting their ground, indicating that they are dishonest, crafty and up to no good? Like either verbal stuff or activities/actions?
Ok, I'll play along.
"Shifty" to me, by definition indicates a person who is unrelaxed because they are (or think people suspect they are) hiding something. "Shady" on the other hand indicates a person who may have ulterior motives or is dishonest.
Perhaps the definitions have different meanings for someone US based.
Question Author
Yes I agree thank you. Lastly can you give one thing that could give the impression of Shady ulterior motives? Your example of Shifty was excellent.
Have people accused you of being either? (before I did).
Question Author
No they had not.
