I thought I'd seen just about everything there is to see in connection with the "climate emergency" but here's a goodie:
Just back from the High Street. Saw a largish lorry with "Climate Emergency Response Team" emblazoned all over it. Back of the lorry painted in red and yellow diagonal stripes, yellow flashing beacons on the top. Upon closer inspection, it appears this company collects used cooking oil!
I didn't get the name of the firm, Chris (I was too busy holding my sides together to prevent them splitting with laughter). But it may well have been that mob (I can't imagine there being more than one lot who would dramatise the collection of cooking oil in such a way). As for the t-shirt, I've got no room in my wardrobe as I already have one of these on order:
I'm just going to get a black marker pen and scrub out "I know what I'm doing" (not because I don't, but I just want to be left alone).
//Actually not as crazy as one might think:-//
I know it's done, danny, as I've seen the McDonald's lorry with a sign on the side saying they recycle their cooking oil to fuel their lorries. But I've often thought how much easier it would be if they simply poured unused cooking oil into their lorries' tanks to save them the trouble of cooking their chips.
Thanks for the laughs. BA to dave as I need a good kip.
Here's a screen grab from that video, NJ. If you look at the back of the lorry, you'll see that it matches your description:
