its old fashioned incredulity that has people saying pffft and rolling their eyes to this question, because for decades people were brought up to believe aliens etc were ridiculous a silly fiction, many religious people also wouldnt accept the possibility they they were not one of the most important beings in the universe ...

but its pretty much a given now that there is, that there must be - and infinite universe, with infinite planets - how can we be the only one with developed creatures?
it makes no sense.

they have found life already, but it was still at the primordial soup stage of its evolution

i know about attempts to contact, but theyre pretty primitive & we dont actually know if they would work, its just the best option to try

The following link shows clusters of Galaxies. Not Stars.....Galaxies each with many billions of stars. It's hard to conclude that there is no other life when considering the sheer number of planets in Goldilocks Zones (As we are in our Solar System) orbiting other Suns.

Given how big the universe is, I'm sure that there is life out there. Maybe they are making an effort to explore the vast distance of space, and maybe we're just too far away. Until a civilisation creates a space city, capable of travelling billions of miles, I doubt there's going to be first contact from anyone. Who knows? *tilts head like a curious pooch*

quite so, our notion of a Goldilocks Zone means one that we can live in. Martians* may never have heard of Goldilocks but they may have some similar notion pertaining to suitable conditions for themselves.
