Bbc Quiz : Week 2

It’s quiz time again, folks, but with five quizzes, instead of the usual three, to tax everyone’s brains this evening!

I started off win a decent enough (for me) score of SIX out of seven in the main quiz:

I couldn’t get past the halfway mark in the junior quiz though, with just TWO out of five:

Both of this week’s bonus quizzes are taken from Aunty Beeb’s ‘Bitesize’ pages (which are primarily targeted at GCSE students) and they’re both about unusual words.

In the first one, you don’t get to find out your score until then end. (To then get further information about the answers, click on the ‘+’ buttons. It’s worth doing so just to learn some fascinating facts!). I managed to score THREE out of seven:

Well, you're a bigger kid than me, anyway, Haras2 ;-)

I hope that you're getting used to your hearing aid. My lot can shake the house down with their voices, as follows:
Chequers, whenever he wants food (which is basically whenever he's awake) ;
Moonbeam, whenever he wants me to sit at my desk, so that he can sleep on my knee (which is often) ;
Tablo, whenever she's got a dead mouse or bird clamped between her jaws (which, fortunately, is only occasionally these days).

We're all well, warm and dry, thank you, as I hope that you and Shady are too!
