Going from one place to another e.g 'We'll be making a journey to Devon in July'. The modern over-use of 'journey' to describe an experience or learning something rather annoys me; although it probably started with 'Pilgrim's Progress'.

The sob story essential to any reality contestant with a hope of winning - doing 'the journey' for a dead relative is fave.
