The UK government has granted asylum to a number of people from Rwanda who are at risk (not safe) in Rwanda – you couldn’t make this stuff up.

So far, we know that the government has given Rwanda £290 million, but the government has refused to reveal the full payments made.

As my mate Phil says, it looks like we have paid Rwanda £290 million in order for us to take Rwandan refugees.

The gammons and swivel-eyed loons on here will be spitting blood.

Hymie; I saw that in the i today.

The tories seem to be flailing around, trying to push stuff through without doing their homework - pandering to the little britain gammons, reacting and fire-fighting. They've had some awful people like Priti (sic) and Suella (sick) seeking fame and fortune without any proper preparation. They all look like idiots compared with the old-fashioned tories who at least tried to know what they were doing. They've dug a big big hole and I think that the British public can see them for what they are. Those who think that all right-thinking people agree with them are in for a big shock when they eventually realise that they are not 'right-thinking'.

I think that the utter failure of the government to even manage to deport just one illegal imigrant, is going to seal their fate at the election.

If Labour campaign on sorting it - and they will have to, however much yoghurt-knitting hand-wringing some of them are doing - they will win.

But ... and it is a big but ... they will have to deliver on that promise, and fast, people are running out of patience really rapidly now.

We made a deal with Rwanda which involved us giving them millions of £'s and resulted in them sending us 6 people who have been granted asylum by the UK because they were not safe in their own country, and we sending them nobody. It's complete incompetence on our side.

Atheist - // ... and resulted in them sending us 6 people who have been granted asylum by the UK because they were not safe in their own country ... //

I'm sure I must be missing someething here -

How come we give assylum to Rwandan natives because they are NOT SAFE IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY, but we have a multi-million pound deal to export illegal immigrants who have supposedly fled here because they are NOT SAFE IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY, but we are trying to convince them that they will be safe in Rwanda.

Yes, I must be missing something ... I haven't had the government memo on 'logic' on this one - sure it's on its way.

Atheist why not put the illegals into the big big hole you say the tories have dug for themselves,do you think they would fill it?

Given that the UN sends folk to Rwanda, the main issue isn't whether Rwanda is generally a safe country but why these particular individuals were granted asylum. What is it about them that means they in particular were deemed to be unsafe there ?

The idiotic suggestions by the commentator to legislate problems away, doesn't help. The rest of the video is just jabbering for the sake of criticism.

So how does Phil know?

Meanwhile the EUSSR is funding the direct deportation of illegal immigrants from Libya to   ...   you're ahead of me again now aren't you, Rwanda. Whilst adopting a "nowt to do with me guv" attitude about it. This however is not enough for some and so Germany, DEnmark and Holland are considering the prospect of sending illegal entrants to Rwandas also.  Any who are sent packing to Rwanda from UK, Germany, Denmark, indeed anywhere, will be victims of the wicked Nazis or far right, whilst not a peep about the ones being transported to Rwanda from the Lib. Libya. Meehh.
