I've been watching this tonight and wondered how the audience/congregation were able to understand his speech. I could see some tv screens but they didn't look to be very close to the people. Any thoughts?

Bookbinder - that doesn't say how the audience were able to understand what he was saying.

I think the visiting dignitaries had ear pieces with translation. The rest of the congregation were mostly French.
