Good Morning Late Birds!
Sorry, I'm late! I didn't fall asleep till about 6am - way too much on my mind lol. Never mind. Yesterday we braved the wind and rain to go and buy our Christmas tree. We always get a real one - amazingly out 2 cats don't ever touch it! So when we got it home and I was merrily decorating it with various baubles they both kept wandering around looking at it, inspecting my work lol, but didn't touch a thing! Again again I woke up this morning to a fully intact tree still!
Todau shall involve writing the few cards I'm going to post - the list is pretty short these days as I've given up on cards to people I never hear from, whilst maybe having a Christmas movie on tv in the background. Yesterday I put on National Lampoons Christmas Vacation. So so daft and generally silly but it really made me laugh.
So what are we all up to on this blustery, wet Sunday? X

I'm waiting for an Amazon delivery via Royal Mail, so no idea of when it's due. It's a must have item...cat litter. Other than that, it's the usual Sunday laundry and hoovering...got to take advantage of half price electricity!
You're lucky with your cats lack of interest...I hear horror stories of some terrible mischief makers. I'm lucky with Toby...he's not very curious at all, and doesn't go near my numerous houseplants. He just eats, sleeps...and poops 😂
Morning all. Ive seen a lovely cartoon on FB with a dog saying" thank goodness you are home , the xmas tree has just fainted". I expect that could apply to cats as well.
Its an indoor day for me too, with cards and letters to write. The wind has dropped and the rain has stopped but it has done some damage, a tree has come down blocking one of the lanes into the village. Its always sad when anyone is killed by falling trees, it could be anyone as its so random
Keep warm and safe everyone
Morning pasta and Rosetta! Yep the weather is pretty yucky outside isn't it! Am praying I don't have to go out in it! I've also got Amazon orders arriving, plus am going to write the few Xmas cards that need to go out of the UK. and the rest if I can. I hate it when it's so dark and gloomy like this all dayb- feels like evening time already : (
After yesterday watching the trees with bated breath in the storm it is a beautiful sunny day. Been for 3.5 mile walk along coast and through the woodland paths, fortunately we did not have too much rain so it was all dry.
The trees all survived, quite a few twigs and small branches to clear up, but the bin is already full with leaves.
Mr U has put tv on to watch his team, it will be ironing then have a read for me.
Good afternoon all.I too am writing xmas cards ready to post. Done the washing and got it draped round the house. Was quite fine this morning , but just as I was about to put it out, the rain came. I do like the "fresh air" smell even if the majority of the drying has to be done inside.
Just seen the weather forecast for next week and it should be warmer and dryer - hurrah! My monthly book club meets tomorrow afternoon, and Tuesday I have got my diabetic eye test. Otherwise I would probably stay in the warmth.
