Blair: He is honey
Did anyone see the exchange between Blair and Bush at the G8 when they were not aware that the microphones were switched on. Their reference to Kofi Annan shows total disrespect to the UN. Bush used the words..he wants a ceasefire and then he is sweet. Blair responds....he is honey (paraphrased). they talk like schoolboys in the yard. I thought talk like this was commonplace in Big Brother not at the G8. Is it any wonder the world is as it is.

Bush not even stopping stuffing his bread roll into his gob to answer the questions, and Blair sucking up to him like some wimp would when cosying up to the school bully.....hold on a minute, this is GWB we are talking about...I can believe it!
Still speechless when I watched for the third time!
Dom, your last sentence says it all.

Oh. Get a grip. I love it that world leaders are real people.
And the UN deserves total disrespect. A corrupt organization.
And we the real people of the world should not have to put up with the 5hit that is dealt out by barbaric, death loving cultures.
Both Blair and Bush are RIGHT ON in their colourful comments. If we were not soooooo politically correct, the world would be better. You go, guys.

I didn't get to see this on TV but the link I read (above) doesn't paraphrase Bush and Blair mocking Annan, just casual talk about Syria, Hezbollah and Bush swearing here and there(nothing he does surprises me anymore)...
Aside from the corny sweater joke, I didn't think their conversation was too offensive, nor particularly informative either ... is there another link on this story?

Pajama girl, so in your world America and the UK haven't been occupying Iraq for a while bringing death and destruction with them then? I appreciate form your language that you are probably American and therefore fairly patriotic no matter what, but the decimation in Iraq surely can't be lost on you?
I don't care if they speak "like real people" that's what they are after al,l but I do mind if , as world leaders, they disrespect the UN because imperfect as it is, it's better than the US and the UK acting unilaterally to police the world.

They probably sat there just the same talking about invading Iraq, personally I did find it offensive in the manner in which they spoke, while he casually munched on his roll. And what about vetoing the stem cell research, how is that democratic? I am sorry but I just think he is crass and does not have the intelligence or statesmanship to be worthy of the job.
