If that made any sense lol
So, yeah, I think there's something in body language. But you've also got all of the other little signs too to add inmto the mix

Definitely, you can tell a lot from watching people's body language, often far more than from what they say.
For example people look up in a different direction when they are telling the truth than when they are not! useful that!
Smiles as well, you can tell a fake/forced smile, often the eyes give it away.
I find it really useful when i'm communicating with deaf people or the hard of hearing, over and above sign language, body language can be far more instrumental in what you're trying to communicate.

Body language is hugely important, when conveying a message. You only have to take a look at all the petty arguments on bulletin boards and in chat rooms over misunderstandings to see that.
Body language helps with the nuances, and assists in passing information across about the emotion behind what the words actually say... smiling, making eye contact, hand/arm gestures all aid this process.

trouble is, all these so called rules are often taken very literally and circumstances are not considered.
things such as looking to the right when speaking means lying (or is it left?) - i always look around when I am chatting because I like to see whats happening around the room and i think because i am artistic i look at things like fixtures, fittings, roof tiles, wallpaper patterns etc etc - doesn't mean I am lying
people also fidget when they are nervous or are distracted by some personal issue and therefore don't give their whole to the conversation - again doesn't mean they are lying
there are other factors to why people move the way they do

Bodylanguage is VERY important. It's all about becoming aware of yourself. Many people go around using poor bodylanguage that can convey neediness, laziness poor self-confidence and so on. If you take the time to use powerful bodylanguage, look at how differently people look at you.
When you think of a powerful person, how are they standing, how are they moving their hands.
Go out and experiment. Don't use weak/approval seeking bodylanguage.

i agree with what you're all saying but theres this guy at my work who everybody thinks im with at the moment because our body language is apparently saying that we totally want each other.
we lean into each other, its like we're the only pple in the room, i dont really notice it that much but colleagues say its like we're entwined, u cant see where he finishes and i start kinda thing.
I like him so on my side i suppose its strategic however its not reciprocated but i swear he's all over me, he admits it too!
so body language as far as im concerned is majorly confusing!
