For as long as I can remember, in the 'Eye Say' announcements column, there has been an exchange of banal messages between Capitaine and Sous Fifre.

Has anyone ever decoded these or will they remain a permanent enigma?

have never noticed the messages, but dont normally read the adds, great mag though, well worth �1.40 a month.

I also read The Oldie - well worth a look even if you're by no means old! The Eye and The Oldie have the great Richard Ingrams in common.
