Party games/activities?

I'm about to host a housewarming in 2 weeks' time, and I've invited about 10 people - but none of them has met so far, they don't know what to expect! and they are all very different people.

My question is about advice from anyone, can anyone suggest a good icebreaking game or an activity that will get people talking and feel comfortable by having a few laughs and a good time? otherwise the party will be a total failure! PLEASE HELP!!

PS. Please notice it's an adult party, so any children's games will be totally useless....

If you are doing dinner you could do a Murder Mystery dinner party? That way the conversation will never run dry as you can always discuss who the murderer is.
