Hope this is the right place to put this....having a brief discussion with friends about world population (!) and wondered, with the rule on only one child per couple in China these days....what happens if twins are born? Does one get taken away?
Under the Chinese law, twins are counted as one child so parents are allowed to keep both children.
Infact, the amount of multiple births have increased in hospitals from averages of 20 up to 90 per year in some.
More Chinese women are exploiting easy access to fertility treatments to skirt China's one-child limit.
Thanks to both of you for that. I found it difficult to believe that even they could do anything as awful as take one child away. Shows how they are getting round it though doesn't it?
