Plastic labelling

Increasingly we notice plastic bottles being marked as 12M or 24M alongside the recycling symbol. Is this a reference to the plastic density. Does it affect its recycling properties (we put them together in plastic recycling containers - is this the right thing to do?) What does the M stand for and what is its definition?

It's the time you should use the product for, or be able to use it for anyway.

12M = 12 months, etc.

Absolutely right fo3nix.

The current symbol used on shampoo/conditioner bottles etc takes the form of a small, squat jar with the lid at a 45 degree angle. Next to the symbol is usually "12M" or "24M".
