Prejudiced remarks!
73 Answers
Why is it socially acceptable to call someone a ginger?
It is not acceptable to single someone out by the colour of their skin and call them a black/yellow/red/white.
It is not acceptable to single someone out by their religion and call them a muslim/jew/christian.
Why is it then acceptable to single someone out by the colour of their hair?
They are all prejudiced remarks so whats the difference?

Yes I am well aware of the programme Game On!
No I did not complain as it is not something that particularly bothers me. I just got to wondering after reading another one of your illiterate posts concerning Mick Hucknall "m8"
After all "m8" this is a place where you can ask questions isn't it? If the question happens to bother you then don't answer it!

Boo, thats exactly what I mean. However it seems to be an extremely frequent insult to people with ginger, red or auburn colours of hair. Children with ginger hair get victimised at school but it seems to go largely unpunished and is not percieved as being as serious as racsit abuse. I was just wondering what people's thoughts were?
My question asks if there is any difference between calling someone a ginger t***** compared to calling someone a black t***** etc?
What do you think?

Yeah see what you mean Gevs, to be honest I'd not given it much thought seeing as neither me or anyone in my family are red haired.
Can see where you're coming from though, it does seem that if you're red haired you are subject to being insulted because of it? Weird innit? I happen to think it's a beautiful hair colour too.
Can't really answer your question I'm afraid, maybe as long as the topic of your religion isn't mentioned it's not seen as venomous???

I see where you're comng from totally Gevs, my cousin was verbally abused all his life about his hair colour at school it really affected him and his self confidence. He is still referred to as GingerT0sser at work etc, if it was his skin colour he could do something about it but as it stands his bosses and work mates get away with this form of bullying.
Gevs1966...Being nasty to someone because of the colour of their hair isn't nice...but somehow seems to be ok in our society whereas racism is not tolerated.....I think its a sign of the times we're in..
legend760.....you're nasty......I don't think you can be nice about or to anyone....still karma eh...whats your problem because you sure have one?...

Legend, thanks for hijacking this perfctly legitimate question and turning it into ramblings and attempted insults.
Just to clarify a few of those attempts on your part.....
I'm not crying like a small female dog so no need for the hanky, thanks for the kind offer though.
Calling me a ****** i have to admit is, I have to say factualy accurate as like the huge majority of men in this world I have strummed the old instrument from time to time.
You seem to have judged my age by my username in respect to your reference to me being a fuddy duddy. However like most of your assumptions you have once again judged too soon as I am only 26.
If by trying to take a little pride in my spelling, punctuation and grammar makes me pompous and stuck up then I'm afraid I am guilty as charged.
The original question was merely something I was wondering about and not a particular reflection of my own hair colour or experience with those of ginger hair.
Now are there any other juvenile remarks you would like me to rebuff?
